We encourage reading of the Oklahoma Sequoyah book program. 5th grade votes on the Children's list; and 6th grade votes on the Intermediate list. We offer both lists of books in the library, as long as they are recommended by reviewers (School Library Journal, Booklist, Kirkus Reviews, Horn Book Magazine and publisher recommendations). Which also means we don't carry YA titles.
I'm looking forward to reading with your child for this school year! Please let me know if you have any questions.
Checkout: Students may check out two (2) books at a time for a one-week period. They may renew books if they need them subsequent weeks. Teachers and staff may check out books on an unlimited basis. Students have regular access to the Media Center for book exchange through Library. Students may also visit the Media Center from other classes with permission from their teacher. |
Lost or Damaged Books: If a book is lost, the student is responsible for the cost of the book. You can purchase a copy of the book and return that, also. |
